Stunning suite of four original prints from one of the first artbooks published on the Louvre when it was made open to the public in the years following the French Revolution. Bas reliefs from the Louvre's main courtyard, "La Cour Carrée". The drawing and engraving is by Baltard with detailing by Lavallee. These same etchings are also in the permanent collection of the Louvre (musée du Louvre département des Arts graphiques).
